I looked for months to find a target for my family and we finally decided on the 450 xl plus and it has been the answer we needed!
The large surface area makes it easy even for new bow shooters to get on target and its robust construction gives it the stopping power when crossbows are involved.
At first we started with the kids recurve bows and my old compound bow with no issues. The arrows pull out so easy!
Then we stepped it up a notch with a Umarex Air Javelin at 300fps, easy removal once again.
To finish our initial testing of our new target we pulled out the crossbow shooting bolts at 400fps. Thinking I'd have to stand on it to get it out but no, it came out with a bit of a pull but way easier than what I've experienced with targets in the past.
After all that it still barely looked like we had even used it!

I have 4 XL's to which I have built a "target wall", one of which I purchased 3 years ago. All targets have are outside in the elements. With the exception of fading of the bulls-eyes, the 3 year old target works just as well as the new ones. If you want a target that lasts and can take some abuse, then this is the target for you.
This is the best high volume practice target, of more than 20... I have ever owned. The structure is exceptional, strong and resilient. My target/field points embed about 2 inches, are easy to remove and the target face material remains in place and intact. It's light enough to be "mobile" but heavy enough to stay where I put it !

I set up my outdoor bow range at 20/40/60 yards and was really happy when I heard the first arrows "thump" soundly into the target's face. The field point arrows were extremely easy to remove, living up to the claims of the Bulldog Target company. My fellow archers tell me this is the best field point target they have seen.

Introducing the Bulldog PLUS series.
Most of our targets have the options to upgrade to the PLUS version. You're a serious shooter, we HIGHLY recommend the PLUS version. It's tougher, lighter AND features two finger arrow removal!
We're never settled with how things are at Bulldog. In 2019 we made even more significant improvements to our PLUS Series. Believe it or not, they have more stopping power and arrows are even easier to pull out. We are the toughest targets on the market, hands down!
